The peony from the centre of the Persian Peony Tile has been worked individually as rosette. Using goldwork and surface embroidery techniques, the peony is worked on an ivory satin background with silks, gold metallic threads and beads. The rosette may be made into a brooch or mounted into the lid of a small box.

Kit Contents

This embroidery kit contains all materials required to work this project:

• Ivory satin, quilter's muslin, tracing paper, felt, vliesofix & thin card.
• Beads
• Threads – Soie d'Alger silks, gold metallic thread, polyester and nylon threads.

• 4" embroidery hoop
• Needles:
  • Crewel/Embroidery size 10
  • Sharps size 12
  • Beading size 13
  • Sharp Yarn Darners sizes 14 - 18
