This small stumpwork panel was inspired by an illuminated medieval manuscript. Worked on the background of your choice, this design features a vine of beaded grapes with wired tendrils, and a peacock embroidered in silk and metallic threads, with a beaded tail raised over a real peacock feather.  At the base of the vine is a copper-coloured beetle, worked in couched metallic thread.
